to unani medicine. My son was struggling with nephrotic syndrome. After
initial treatment with prednisolone, I could see that his
immunity was going down, as he was frequently
getting infections.. 3 relapses within 2 years and a
whole lot of steroid with tapering doses. I decided to
try on with something that could increase his immunity
without having any sideffcts. My search came to an
end when I met a retired HOD pediatrician. He
suggested me to start an unani course as it will boost
the immunity. Unani Medicine is not in the limelight or I can say it's
not as popular as homeopathy or Ayurveda. Maybe
many of the readers are listening to this term for the
first time. Unani medicines are extracted naturally and
have no side effects and it doesn't interfere with
prednisolone too. This is what my unani doctor has
explained to me about the medicine. There were 5 different syrups to be given in 10ml
dosage 3 times a day. I started without any
apprehensions. The dose was tapered to twice a day
after a month. I was amazed how it boosted my son's immunity.
For almost an year he was free from cold cough
and fever... We were giving 2.5mg of predo on alternate days
along with unani medicine. I suggest if not unani do take an opinion with homeo
or ayurvedic medicines.
